The Distillery

Our vision is built on a foundation of tradition.

The design of our distillery is inspired by the classic style of Scottish whisky distilleries, with its white walls, black trim, and elegant pagoda roof.
Our two production stills are visible from the tasting room and provide a glimpse into the careful crafting of our wide array of award-winning spirits.

New York State Farm Distillery

We use locally grown fruits and grains to make high quality, handcrafted spirits. Situated in the heart of the Finger Lakes wine and farm country, our spirits celebrate locally sourced grapes, berries, rye, corn, apples and other fruits and grains.

The Stills

All of our spirits flow through one of two copper stills at Finger Lakes Distilling. Our first still, with us since we started in 2007, is a 350-gallon potstill with a 20-foot rectification column, made by the Holstein Company in Germany. The other is a 25-foot continuous still and copper thumper from Vendome Copper & Brass Works that’s mostly used for making our craft whiskies.

Our Craft

We’re able to devote all our attention to everything we make; we don’t take any shortcuts. Our whiskies rest in oak barrels for as long as they need to, until they mature into rich aged spirit we offer with pride. Our flavored vodka and liqueurs are made in the traditional manner, by soaking real fruits in the spirit. We don’t add extracts or synthetic flavoring to speed up the process.
