    1. To make Evergreen Simple Syrup: Combine 1 cup of water with 0.75 cups of sugar. Bring to a boil. Add a handful of fresh pine needles from your Christmas tree and boil for 3 minutes. Strain and cool mixture before using in cocktails. Store in glass jar in the refrigerator.
    2. Combine gin, evergreen simple syrup, juice, and bitters in a shaker with ice. Shake and strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with blackberry.
